KNOW GOD; KNOW PEACE
Dear Father, thank you for this lesson this morning. The opposite of this saying “Know God; Know Peace” is “No Go, No Peace.”
TRULY KNOWING GOD
I used to believe I truly knew God. After all, I read his Word, taught people what his Word said, led people to Christ and helped them grow as Christians, and more. Yet, I did not have an intimacy with Christ. The journey (steps) I took has been:
1. Desire to know God
2. Believe in God
3. Trust in God
4. Know God
5. Surender to God
6. Greater surrender to God
7. Still greater, and continuous surrender to God
I am now on Steps 5, 6, and 7. My experience is that we as Christ-followers go through degrees of surrender, moment by moment, depending on the aspect of life that we are surrendering. The next step after this (Step 8) is to die, and experience the ultimate surrender and the ultimate peace.
NO SURRENDER, NO PEACE
To know God is to know peace. No God, no peace. But no surrender is very limited peace.
Dear child, this is a creative way of explaining me and the process of knowing me. I want the world to know me, and have an intimate relationship with me. I want everyone who claims to follow me to fully and completely surrender to me. Allow my Holy Spirit to rule every aspect of your life. To the degree of surrender is the degree of peace received.
Lord, what message do you want me to give to the ministry leaders who are reading this daily post?
MESSAGE FROM CHRIST
Dear child, tell them: 18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 NIV. Surrender your sexuality to me, and I will forgive you, cleanse you, and restore you.
MESSAGE FROM ME
Dear friends, if you are involved in sexual sin, please know that Christ wants you to surrender that part of you to Him. He can help you to let go of this sinful behavior, from the least type of that sin (for a man), such as objectifying women, staring at a woman’s body parts, to pornography, or worse. (women, you have your own set of sexual sins, like being sexually provocative). I know that as a ministry leader, it is hard to admit to anyone that you are engaging in this behavior, when everyone is looking to you for spiritual leadership. But you need to confide in someone. Take these steps:
1. Confess this sin to God. Ask for forgiveness; accept God’s forgiveness.
2. Confess to another human being. Gain accountability for changing this behavior.
3. Engage in a more intimate relationship with God.
Thank you God for leading this time with you today. I hope I followed you and what you wanted me to write.
Dear child, well done. This is my message. Many struggle with intimacy with Christ, as a result of sexual sin. This sin must be overcome to attain true intimacy with me.
Yes, Lord. Thank you Father God. Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit. Amen.
Your aspiring servant,
Daniel M.
