Receiving God’s Full Power

Father God, please fill me with your Holy Spirit, just like you did with the early church. May the Holy Spirit come on me.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 NIV

Father God, you are coming again soon. Pour out your Holy Spirit on all who call you Lord and Master, who worship your son Jesus Christ, and who believe you raised him from the dead.

“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Acts 2:17-21 NIV

Lord, may I prophesy in your name. May you speak through me to your people. May I faithfully relay to your people the messages you have for Christ-followers. And, especially for ministry leaders.

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 NIV

Father God, I believe we need to repent daily for the sins of our prior day, to be “washed clean” in your sight. Please tell me if this is true.

Dear child, I have told you this many times. Be bold as you inform my people of my directive. Repent daily, so that you may not have a sins on your soul. Never give up this practice.

31 After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. Acts 4:31 NIV

Father, in the name of your son Jesus Christ, I repent of any unconfessed sins since my last confession to you. Please cleanse me and create in me a new heart, fresh after you.

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalm 51:10-12 NIV

You are renewed and recharged my child. Can you see the difference of how you started with me this morning and how you are right now?

Yes Lord. I see a big difference. Thank you for cleansing me of my sin. I adore you and praise you for your Holy Spirit, which gives me all that I need. You give me all that I need Lord God. You and you alone meet all my needs. I thank you and lift your Name that is above all other Names. The name of Jesus Christ. At that name every knee shall one day bow and every tongue shall confess, “Jesus Christ is Lord of All.”

Go now, to love and serve me my child.

Lord, I don’t understand it, but all I know is that this works:
1. Getting into your Word first thing in the morning.
2. Looking for messages from you; your Holy Spirit will speak to me and draw me to the right places to read, study, meditate, and dwell.
3. You will teach me things; you will answer my prayers; you will restore the full measure of your Holy Spirit and take control over me.

My child, you always have the full measure of the Holy Spirit inside of you. You are not like a car, that slowly runs out of gas, and needs to be refilled with my Holy Spirit. You are more like the driver of an electric car, leaving home, driving away from me, doing your own thing. When you return home, that is when your battery can be fully charged. Keep plugged into the source. There is no where you need to go. Nothing that you need to do in your own strength, on your own battery. Stay plugged into me at all times, and you will never need to be recharged.

Great metaphor Lord. Thank you for a modern picture. A modern example of what happens. I just need to stay in your home, with you.

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9 NIV

Yes Lord. I will. Today. One day at a time. For: “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13 NIV

Yes, my child. Go in peace to love and serve me. I am the vine; you are the branch. Stay connected to the vine and you will remain in my power, the Holy Spirit. All your nourishment comes from me. Do not look to the world and its empty promises. I am the source of all power.

Yes, Lord Jesus. Father God. Holy Spirit. We praise the blessed triune God of the universe. Amen.
